/ about project

A personal project inspired by my own frustrations

Where Esport and teams begin to be a "mutch to have" for a lot of players, we, founders, have to offer the best organization to help them to reach the top. However, there isn't only Esport in the world of video games: we are trying to create links between players, organizing intra-structure events, creating a real community that carries the team.

Eidolon is a personnal project where I started alone, on April 25 2014 firstly for Warhammer 40k: Eternal Crusade as a little team of 10 players. Today, Eidolon is much bigger in all way: the Staff has 10 people for more than 50 players. we are based on several games as World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Counter-Strike, Rainbow Six Siege and some Warhammer games as Warhammer: Vermintide.

I decided one day to bring back what I want to see and live in a team, being my personnal opinion and from my own experience: a good organization, a staff close to the players, create different events and tournaments to animate our games's sections and finally create entertainments.

/ My role

I mainly take care of the maintenance of the website/forum, the Discord server, manage future projects, manage our different teams within Eidolon to recruit new members and explain them how we work, the graphic identity of the structure and the direction of various roles within the staff.

I hold the position of Graphic Designer, Community Manager and chair community meetings. I was also a translator/newser to animate our blog. I posted our site under Wordpress where I had to change a lot of lines in the code and made a new design. I also created our own logo with Illustrator and another designer help us to do the jersey for our futurs LAN. Same happen with a motion designer who made this introduction (or see GIF) for our videos.

/ Hereafter

We have a lot of work to do to perpetuate this hugh project. We aim to propose a lot of entertainments from our Twitch TV with fun sessions, some guests on our principal games and casting our own tournaments. From the beginning, we want to focus on the community aspect. We have to make it clear to the players that this is not a personal project unique to the staff but that it is thanks to them that Eidolon keep moving on. Let our players take initiatives and connect to our Discord with this desire to play and have fun.
